This booklet is a continuation of the idea presented in the previous one (Booklet 6). The first brief in this booklet helps teachers understand how to “read illustrations in a picture book. The second brief discusses insights and implications from a research study conducted to understand the role of interpreting and responding to literature in early language and literacy. Third one discusses the use of folklore in early language and literacy classroom, and provides some valuable insights and recommendations, in addition to summarizing key principles on the basis of which the curriculum was developed.
